Locations of Service
Learning and Behavioral Center has physical locations in Tarzana, California and Knoxville, Tennessee where we offer individual and group therapy. In late 2021, we will be opening a third location in Austin, Texas. We are also licensed to provide telehealth services to anyone in the United States.
Diagnosis
Early diagnosis is key in receiving support for your child. Unfortunately, as a service provider, it is outside our scope of practice to provide a formal diagnosis for your child. However, LBC can effectively treat those with ASD and children struggling with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and those with Down syndrome.
Center
LBC’s center-based services provide the opportunity to target social skills, fine motor skills, gross motor skills, language and communication skills, life skills, and more. All of this is done in a safe, natural, and exciting environment. Our carefully crafted, innovative rooms result from extensive collaboration with multiple professionals to create the most exceptional experience for your child’s learning and growth journey.
School
As an authorized Non-Public Agency, LBC works with school districts to provide high-quality behavioral support services. Our school services utilize evidence-based Positive Behavior Support (PBS) strategies that reduce interfering behaviors and teach functionally equivalent replacement behaviors. LBC is committed to students exceeding their goals and thriving in the educational sector.
Camp LBC
Camp LBC offers your child the opportunity to learn, explore, and engage in several community settings. In a natural setting, children organically practice exploring different environments and responding appropriately. We believe every child should have a memorable summer camp experience filled with camp songs, exploration with their buddies, and adventures in the real world.
ABA Services
Our team at LBC understands that all aspects of Applied Behavioral Analysis or ABA interventions need to be customized to the individual’s strengths, needs, preferences, and environmental circumstances. Our focused and comprehensive ABA services are flexible to accommodate caregivers and the individual as changes occur as treatment progresses.
Early Intervention
Counselors and therapists have seen early intervention support as an excellent and highly effective way to meet developmental milestones. Physical development, communication, social and emotional wellbeing, adaptive living, and cognitive skills are all targeted in all settings to give children the support they need.
Parent Training with Your Child
Success must involve parental education. Parent education entails working with your child’s therapist to understand and implement the ABA strategies. At LBC, we offer this training in individual and group settings, so families and caregivers have the necessary tools they need to help children grow and develop.
Professional Training and Mentorship
Parents, caregivers, and professionals need ongoing training to maintain their skill levels and learn new and innovative approaches. LBC provides graduate students pursuing their BCBA an opportunity to work under the mentorship and guidance of BCBAs and other professionals.
1:1 Therapy
Working one-on-one can be one of the most rewarding and effective ways to address the needs of children with ASD or other behavioral issues. Both in-person and through our telehealth services, our counselors and therapists work with individuals to enhance their skills and familiarize themselves with social expectations.
Academic Training
Our team of skilled behavioral tutors can help strengthen academic skills and build better study habits, while simultaneously supporting them with everyday life skills. Our team can also support with all school subjects, organizational skills, executive functioning skills, financial literacy, internet safety, and much more. These services are open to all children, both on the spectrum and not.
Parent Training Membership
This service grants parents and caregivers access to all of our live group parent trainings, as well as biweekly meetings with a seasoned Program Manager or a BCBA, depending on the membership tier. This service is not insurance funded and does not require a diagnosis. This is open to all families who need additional support and/or guidance.
